World Championship of Fantasy Football to Offer Satellite Leagues at FantasyFactor.com
ANAHEIM, CA--(Marketwire - June 3, 2010) - FantasyFactor.com has partnered with the World Championship of Fantasy Football (WCOFF) to offer daily satellite leagues for the high-stakes WCOFF tournament this fall in Las Vegas. Beginning Friday June 4, 2010 and running daily, contestants will be able to compete in special daily Fantasy Baseball leagues on FantasyFactor.com. These leagues will award WCOFF dollars that winners will be able to use for entry into the 2010 WCOFF main event.
These daily satellite events represent the first official partnership between a daily fantasy sports company and a season-long high-stakes fantasy company.
"We never set out to replace season-long leagues with our daily fantasy sports game," says FantasyFactor.com commissioner and founder John Zaleski. "Guys who love fantasy sports will play both daily games and season long games. Our partnership with WCOFF represents a natural pairing of the two premier companies in daily and season-long fantasy sports."
FantasyFactor.com offers a unique way to play daily fantasy sports. Most daily sites offer a draft or salary cap-style game, but the creators of Fantasy Factor wanted to give customers a faster, easier way to play daily fantasy contests: The Factor Game. Contestants select a team using any player that is playing that day. Once their team is set, they strategically add multipliers to three players. Their scores for the day are multiplied by the factor assigned to them. At the end of the day, teams with the highest score win and payouts occur nightly.
Because of the fantasy sports carve out in the 2006 Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act (UIGEA), daily fantasy sports games are legal in the U.S. The Fantasy Factor game strictly adheres to the standards for skill-based fantasy sports contests set by UIGEA. FantasyFactor.com and its partners generate revenue by taking a commission from each game.
Founded in December 2008, FantasyFactor.com launched its first weekly Fantasy Football game in September 2009 and covers Fantasy Baseball, Fantasy Basketball, and Fantasy Hockey as well. FantasyFactor.com was developed by Zther Interactive for Fantasy Factor Partners, LLC and is U.S. based and privately held.
The World Championship of Fantasy Football (WCOFF) has revolutionized the world of high-stakes fantasy sports since its inception in 2002. WCOFF offers the largest cash awards available in fantasy sports and has awarded over $12 million in prizes.
