With a Phone and an App You Can Now Locate People in Seconds at the Touch of a Button
Ask the Where Question; LOCi® Is the Answer
LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - July 9, 2009) - GTX
Corp (OTCBB: GTXO), a leader in customizable, patented 2-way GPS
Personal Location Services (PLS) solutions, continues its commitment to
delivering people finding applications through LOCiMOBILE® and Code Amber™, both wholly owned
subsidiaries of GTX Corp. The latest apps are designed to locate children,
parents, friends, and business associates at the touch of a button without
violating privacy, and aid law enforcement in the recovery of a missing
person.
Following the launch of LOCiMe version 1.3 in April and the enhanced
version 1.5 in June, GTX Corp submitted its newest app iLOCi2 for review last
week. The geo-specific app runs in the background and, when authorized,
populates the built-in Google Maps on your iPhone, or iTouch, with the
locations of people in your private, opt-in buddy list. A free two-user
version and a paid eight-user version are expected for release upon
approval in the coming weeks. Additionally, a 24-user Platinum version and
unlimited user Enterprise version are in development and will follow
shortly. iLOCi2 was previewed by a wide range sample group of parents,
teens, tweens, business executives, law enforcement officers, teachers, and
technologists. Subjects were amazed, unanimously noting its fast and easy
use coupled with accuracy.
"Ordinarily, at this moment I'd be calling and texting to check if my
teenager is on the way home," said Neil M. from Southern California, parent
and test group participant for iLOCi2. "After trying out the application
myself, I see how quick and easy it is to know the whereabouts of my kids
with a simple iLOCi2 request than hassling with phone calls, voicemail, and
texting. As a parent, iLOCi2 gives me instant peace of mind with the push
of a button. In fact, I'm moving my family to AT&T's iPhone for this app
alone."
"Our vision for the LOCi smart phone apps are coming to fruition with the
help of Apple's 3.0 OS, the success of the 3G iPhone and App Store, and the
expertise of application developer Lextech," said Patrick Bertagna, CEO of
GTX Corp. "Imagine the relief for an anguished parent looking for their
child, the joy of knowing where a spouse is, that a senior parent is safe,
or perhaps business associates are close enough to make a spontaneous
meeting. I LOCi... Do You LOCi Too?"
True to the company's mission of being the better people finder, Code Amber News Service™, will soon
be releasing its new app CodeMobile™. It is the first socially
conscience app, supported by corporate
sponsors, working in the background that notifies subscribers as they
enter a live "search zone." CodeMobile displays pertinent missing person
alerts in real time based on the proximity and geographical location of a
smart phone. CodeMobile will also be available in an SMS version for
non-smart phones. As a precursor to the anticipated CodeMobile launch,
Code Amber™ has recently added two million subscribers displaying
national missing person alerts, and information about abductors when
available, utilizing a rich graphical interface on Cisco VOIP land-line
phones through its partnership
with SA Announce.
