WebLayers Expands Management Team; Appoints Vice President of Client Services and Hires Industry Veteran CFO

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwire - August 3, 2010) -  WebLayers, Inc. today announced two executive appointments. Ron Karas has been promoted to vice president of client services where he oversees a staff responsible for pre- and post-sales consulting, product installations and overall client satisfaction. Karas was previously in the position of director of technical services. Additionally, WebLayers has appointed long-time IT industry veteran Anne Huemme to the position of chief financial officer (CFO).

WebLayers develops software and provides services to Fortune 2000 companies that are striving to decrease the amount and magnitude of software errors and glitches that are costly and time consuming. Using WebLayers' IT governance software, companies are able to develop software that fosters productivity, profitability and higher customer satisfaction ratings.

With more than 20 years of IT industry experience, Karas previously held positions of increasing responsibility including managing field service teams and engineers as well as roles in project management and consulting. Prior to WebLayers, Karas was director of field services at Attunity where his team contributed to a near doubling in direct sales. Before joining Attunity, Karas gained extensive experience in the financial services sector as an IT consultant to Societe Generale, one of Europe's largest banks.

Huemme joins WebLayers with more than 25 years experience in finance, accounting and planning, including 14 years as a CFO overseeing financial responsibilities for companies ranging in size from $1 million to $265 million in annual revenue. Prior to WebLayers, Huemme held positions at Virtera, an IT virtualization services company, Ultima, an enterprise software provider, Ardence, a virtualization software provider, and telecommunications equipment provider Optical Solutions, Inc.
