Visiphor Releases InForce AB 2.0-an Advanced Arrest, Booking and Integration Application for US Law Enforcement
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - April 13, 2006) - Visiphor Corporation ("Visiphor" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:VIS)(OTCBB:VISRF)(DE:IGYA) announced that it has released Version 2.0 of InForce AB, the company's highly advanced arrest, booking and pre-booking application for law enforcement that incorporates face recognition and information sharing technologies. This version of InForce is targeted at the US justice market.
InForce AB can capture and catalogue a mug shot, and then compare the image against single or multiple mug shot repositories to find probable matches using its sophisticated face recognition engine. The application is also built on Visiphor's core integration technology-the Briyante Integration Environment-so it can utilize standards-based Web services to connect to disparate data sources to share and query information. This means that InForce AB can import, export, and search disparate data in police record management systems (RMS), jail management systems (JMS), and other repositories. It can also export and share data in conformance with the Global Justice XML Data Model (GJXDM). The result is streamlined processing of arrestees and elimination of redundant data entry into multiple systems.
Because of a unique local data caching capability, InForce AB can also be deployed to mobile data terminals in patrol cars and remote locations for pre-booking and search functionalities. Additional features include automatic line-up generation using the face recognition engine; non-arrestee processing; auditing; standard and customizable reporting capabilities; an intuitive interface with extensive search criteria; and cataloguing of scars, marks, tattoos and other physical characteristics.
Visiphor Chairman and Former Associate Deputy Director of the FBI, Oliver "Buck" Revell stated, "This new version of InForce AB will greatly aid the ability of law enforcement agencies to store and access detailed information in databases and share disparate data through federated query. The Briyante integration capability addresses some of the most critical needs facing law enforcement and Homeland Security agencies."
InForce AB is available for immediate delivery to US State, County Sheriff, and municipal police forces, and is designed specifically for demanding law enforcement environments. The product provides yet another example of Visiphor's thought leadership and dedication to providing effective justice solutions. The company's justice booking and information sharing products are deployed around the world.
