Viper Powersports Acquires Melling Sportscars, Changes Name to Viper-Melling Corporation
BIG LAKE, MN--(Marketwire - August 8, 2007) - Viper Powersports Inc. (OTCBB: VPWS) announced
today that it has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the outstanding
shares of Melling Sports Cars Inc. for 6,827,000 shares of Viper
Powersports Common stock. Viper Powersports intends to change its name to
Viper-Melling Corporation and will, when the transaction closes, have Viper
Motorcycle Company, Melling Sports Cars, and Al Melling Performance as 100%
owned subsidiaries.
Melling Sports Cars, based in Rochdale, England, designs and develops
proprietary sportscars and sports car engines. The 700 HP Carbon Fiber
Melling Hellcat and 500HP Melling Griffon will be unveiled at the Autosport
International, which takes place from the 10th - 13th January at the NEC
Birmingham, UK and are scheduled for production in the fall of 2008, with
racing at Lemans planned for 2009. Al Melling, Managing Director of
Melling Sports Cars, stated, "Within the design of the cars we have tried
to produce the most outstanding engineered cars; these cars are not just
supercars but are of the best engineering possible; the joining of Melling
with Viper enhances this concept."
