Drinking Water: Return to Normal for Chateauguay
CHATEAUGUAY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 28, 2008) - All residents of Chateauguay NO LONGER have to boil the tap water before drinking it.
As for the residents of the cities served by the Regie intermunicipale d'aqueduc de la Vallee de Chateauguay, including Mercier, Sainte-Martine, Saint-Urbain Premier, Lery and Saint-Isidore, they must continue to boil their water, at full boil, for at least one minute until further notice to be issued by their municipalities.
In fact, all of the test results carried out by the accredited independent laboratory show that the tap water tested in Chateauguay meets all of the criteria set by the environment ministry for drinking water.
We apologize for the inconvenience this caused and thank the residents of Chateauguay and the other municipalities for their cooperation.
