Vidsense Proves Good Works Better

Video Giant Offers Not-for-Profit Websites a New Revenue Model

MOKENA, IL--(Marketwire - October 6, 2008) - Vidsense, the Web's largest video ad network, announces an online initiative that puts the legendary stars of television and film to work on behalf of non-profit organizations across America.

"Non-profits are the true social networks," says Vidsense CEO Jaffer Ali. "But the hard realities of today's economy really hurt them and those they serve. Vidsense can help revitalize these organizations online through an initiative that we call the Good Works Better Alliance."

The concept (http://ads.vidsense.com/r/212/l/qg72s1) is simple: Non-profit organizations will be able to raise funds by offering website visitors thumbnail access to popular, family-friendly television and movie clips. Every video viewed will generate revenue for the host non-profit site.

"We already have more than 20,000 websites in our publisher network," says Ali, "but it's hard to imagine a better use of video content than to have each and every view generate cash for a non-profit organization. Some of our for-profit publisher partners generate tens of thousands of dollars using the Vidsense model; it's only fitting to extend the opportunity to non-profits. Besides, it feels good and it will work even better for them."

The mechanics are simple: Each time a thumbnail video link is clicked, a new browser window opens to play the requested clip, after which the viewer closes the window and returns to the non-profit site that launched it. The Vidsense video library offers more than 80,000 licensed, family-friendly clips, everything from classic movies and TV to popular culture.

"Non-profit organizations can now leverage traffic to their sites and generate significant funds without compelling visitors to pull out their credit cards," concludes Ali. "That's why we say Good Works Better."
