Media Advisory: Canada Pays Tribute to Those Who Gave Their Lives in Korea
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 9, 2009) - Media are invited to attend a commemorative ceremony with the Honourable Greg Thompson, Minister of Veterans Affairs, to honour Canadian men and women who served in the Korean War. This year marks the 56th anniversary of the armistice of the Korean War.
The National Capital Unit of the Korea Veterans Association of Canada (KVA) is holding the ceremony in Ottawa to coincide with a Remembrance Day ceremony in Busan, Korea at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery.

Veterans and Canadian Forces representatives will also attend the ceremony.
