VCT Adds New Silk Screen Press to Downers Grove, IL Facility

DOWNERS GROVE, IL--(Marketwire - September 15, 2009) - Versatile Card Technology (VCT), a leader in plastic card manufacturing, made news again by announcing the installation of a new silk screen press in their Downer's Grove, IL facility. Earlier this year, in Feb 2009, VCT had a similar press installed in their New Jersey plant.

Silk screen presses are quite prevalent and widely used in the card printing industry. This latest addition is capable of supporting printing of metallic inks in addition to providing post-lamination custom features.

"Our new silk screen press will greatly enhance our printing capabilities in our Downers Grove facility. We will be able to support a wider range of ink applications, increased throughput and a much higher quality product on special projects," stated Suresh Kumar, V.P. of Smart Card Operations.
