UltraCell® XX25™ Qualified to Power the New GETAC V100 Laptop

Company's XX25 Fuel Cell an Ideal Power Source for Rugged Laptop, Enabling Superior Performance in the Most Demanding Applications and Environments

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - September 18, 2007) - Intel Developer Forum -- UltraCell Corporation, a leading producer of reformed methanol fuel cells (RMFCs) for mobile power applications, today announced its XX25™ fuel cell meets the power source specifications for GETAC, Inc.'s V100 rugged laptop. GETAC is backed by the MiTAC Technology Corporation, one of the largest industrial PC manufacturers in the world. The XX25 fuel cell delivers up to 25 watts of continuous maximum power and weighs just 1.24 kilograms, making it an ideal power source for the V100.

Announced earlier this year, the V100 is a rugged, ultra-light hybrid notebook/Tablet PC encased in magnesium alloy to ensure it can withstand some of the most extreme conditions in almost any environment.

Featuring an Intel Core Duo ULV 1.2 GHz processor, the V100 is enabled with the latest power saving technology to extend battery life. Six hour battery life is standard, with the option to extend battery life with an upgrade to a nine cell battery. The XX25 provides extended runtime for 12-18 hours. By plugging into the same port as the V100 power adapter, the XX25 eliminates the need for an AC power adapter.
