TV Worldwide Selected to Webcast 60th Annual Emmy Awards for Technology and Engineering, Jan. 7, Global Media Awards on Jan. 8, Live From Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas

CHANTILLY, VA--(Marketwire - January 7, 2009) - TV Worldwide, the first web-based global Internet TV network, announced that it had again been selected by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to webcast the 60th Annual Technology and Engineering Emmy Awards, at the 42nd International CES Show live from Las Vegas, on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, 10:00 PM ET/7:00 PM PT at www.TVWorldwide.com and www.TVMainStream.com. The Academy has also selected TV Worldwide to webcast the First Annual Global Media Awards on January 8, 10:00 PM ET/7:00 PM PT, also at CES. The Emmys webcast will include interviews with industry leaders attending the Emmy Awards ceremony and CES on the latest products, technologies, issues and news from the television sectors and will feature Emmy Award winners Harris, Tandberg and XOrbit. The Global Media Awards will feature awards to companies responsible for bringing new digital media and content to consumers around the world, who deserve special recognition. The webcast will feature interviews with Extremely Ingenious Engineering, a company noted for advances in electric power and electromagnetic field control devices. Technology support from JVC HD cameras, NewTek Tricaster, Limelight Networks and Abacast Hybrid CDN Services will be featured during the production of the webcast.

Launched in 1948, the Technology and Engineering Emmy Awards honor development and innovation in broadcast technology and recognize companies, organizations and individuals for breakthroughs in technology that have a significant effect on television engineering. An award to an individual, a company, or to a scientific or technical organization for developments and/or standardization involved in engineering technologies, which either represent so extensive an improvement on existing methods or are so innovative in nature that they materially have affected the transmission, recording, or reception of television.
