Turbine Truck Engines, Inc. Announces Innovative Engine Technology

DELAND, FL--(Marketwire - July 22, 2009) - Turbine Truck Engines, Inc. ("TTE") (OTCBB: TTEG) -- Michael Rouse, President of Turbine Truck Engines, Inc., announced today that the International Searching Authority (ISA) has issued its written opinion stating that the Rotary Mechanically Reciprocated Sliding Metal Vane Air Pump and Boundary Layer Gas Turbines Integrated With a Pulse Gas Turbine Engine System (System) is a unique invention in its novelty, inventiveness, and industrial applicability. The inventor, Robert L. Scragg, has previously applied for patent protection for the engine in the United States. This finding is the first step in securing patent rights to the engine throughout the world, and TTE holds the exclusive license to develop and market the System worldwide.

The engine may be used for all sizes of motor vehicles, and a host of other applications. It improves fuel economy, reduces harmful emissions, and because of its flex-fuel capabilities, gives vehicle owners the option to migrate from fossil fuels to alternative fuels as those new energies become commercially available.

In a recent interview, Scragg was asked about the importance of this new technology, which is an advanced version of the Detonation Cycle Gas Turbine engine to which he already holds the patent. He responded, "The ISA's finding that the engine is a unique, one of a kind propulsion system is not unexpected." Rouse concurred with Scragg, and added, "We anticipate that the engine will provide manufacturers and vehicle owners with a significant advantage over Otto Cycle, Diesel Cycle, and Brayton Cycle engines, and this finding by the ISA will accelerate our process as we file for patents in specific countries around the world."

About Turbine Truck Engines, Inc.

Turbine Truck Engines, Inc. is a technology company focused on the development, manufacture, and testing of its New Energy and Environmental Efficient Truck Engine intended for mass market in the Unites States and abroad. This new engine design can utilize any known fuel source (gasoline, diesel, propane, natural gas, hydrogen, methanol, ethanol, or LPG) or fuel mixture, yet needs zero coolant, lube, oil, filters, or pumps. The unique, lightweight turbine design has (only one) few moving parts, significantly reducing maintenance costs. The innovative cycle detonation process produces a complete combustion of fuel-oxidation mixtures, resulting in greater fuel economy and few harmful exhaust emissions.
