TTEngines Envisions Lower Costs for the Trucking Industry
DELAND, FL--(Marketwire - September 2, 2009) - Turbine Truck Engines, Inc. ("TTE") (
To meet the pressing need of the global trucking industry to control costs, TTE has pursued the development of its Detonation Cycle Gas Turbine ("DCGT") engine with top Chinese engine manufacturers who are aggressively seeking to produce an engine that lowers operating expenses while simultaneously reducing airborne pollutants. TTE has signed agreements with two companies to develop three engines for the Chinese transportation industry; one for motorcycles, one for automobiles, and an even larger engine for busing applications.
Mr. Michael Rouse, CEO of Turbine Truck Engines, recently said that he receives many inquiries from the American trucking industry asking, "Why China?" He added, "We have been enthusiastically received in China, and we believe that the development of the DCGT in China will provide us with invaluable research data which will significantly lower our R&D costs. If we also manufacture the truck engine in China, production overhead will also be reduced and these, taken together, will significantly lower end user costs for the American trucking industry when the engine is brought to market in the United States."
