Trango Broadband Wireless Introduces New Licensed 6 GHz Microwave Wireless Backhaul System
New Point-to-Point Wireless Ethernet Bridge Is Ideal for Long Haul WiMAX, ISP, Cellular, Enterprise and Broadcast Applications
SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - September 26, 2007) - Trango Broadband Wireless, a leading developer of high-capacity fixed
wireless broadband solutions, announced today a new addition to its licensed microwave point-to-point product line. The new wireless backhaul
product, TrangoLINK Giga® 6, operates in the licensed 6 GHz microwave
spectrum and was developed to deliver high-capacity IP connectivity for
Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) backbones, WiMAX networks,
cellular backhaul, Enterprise connectivity, broadcast and municipal
applications as well as other mobile and fixed wireless networks.
"TrangoLINK Giga® 6 is especially suited for longer path distances and it
delivers the breakthrough performance in speed and latency that our
customers have come to expect from Trango," said Vural Kalafat, Vice
President of Marketing for Trango. "The 18 GHz model is shipping now in
quantities and we are quite eager about the new 6 GHz model which will
begin shipping in November. It's a great complement to our current licensed
microwave product line and is yet another major stride for Trango to be the
ultimate wireless connectivity source."
TrangoLINK Giga® 6 delivers throughput up to 330+ Mbps (165+ Mbps full
duplex) and latency of less than 250 microseconds. The TrangoLINK Giga®
product line is ideal for bandwidth intensive applications such as video
and voice-over-IP. The system features four Gig Ethernet ports with
adjustable bandwidth and priority settings for IP traffic, and eight T1/E1
ports for time-sensitive traffic. These highly versatile features make
TrangoLINK Giga® ideal for mixed and segmented traffic and also provide
easy migration from traditional TDM to more advanced IP connectivity.
