The free project plan management system is a standalone solution and is designed to work seamlessly with TeamDynamix Enterprise Project and Portfolio Management software, which is currently used by more colleges and universities than any other PPM solution. The latest version of Task Manager features a completely overhauled user interface, mirroring the TeamDynamix web-based project management application, Plan Manager. The application is available for download for free to members of TeamDynamix Higher Ed Community; a free online resource for the latest news, information and discussions about PPM in higher education.
Task Manager 2.0 allows users to create, update and manage robust project plans, assign resources, generate custom reporting, and view Gantt charts; among other activities. All of this can be done offline, and then users can save the plans to their computer and/or integrate them seamlessly with the hosted or installed versions of TeamDynamix Enterprise PPM software. In addition to the new interface, the new version includes:
- Dragging and dropping resources onto tasks,
- Search against all task fields,
- Collapsing or expanding parent tasks to various levels,
- Customizable reporting, and
- Ability to copy-paste individual cells.
