Sunbelt Software Announces Industry's First Unlimited Home Site License for Consumers

Annual Site License Subscription Protects All PCs in Single Household

CLEARWATER, FL--(Marketwire - April 1, 2008) - Sunbelt Software, a leading provider of Windows security and management software, today announced a new annual subscription licensing option for its entire line of consumer security software products. The company's new unlimited home site license for consumer security software is an industry first, where all PCs in a single household are protected with a single site license. Already available to consumers in single user and 3-user subscriptions, Sunbelt's award-winning products, CounterSpy™, iHateSpam™, and Sunbelt Personal Firewall™ now can be purchased with the home site license option for each product.

"Typical 'household' licenses offered for security software products limit the number of PCs protected to anywhere from three to five per household," said Alex Eckelberry, president of Sunbelt Software. "With our unlimited home site license, customers pay one low annual subscription price for the product of their choice for all the PCs in their home. We don't care if it's five, ten, or 200 computers. One price covers all the computers located in that residence."

Home Site License Pricing and Availability

The following are the annual subscription prices for home site licenses for Sunbelt's consumer products:

iHateSpam $39.95
CounterSpy $39.95
Sunbelt Personal Firewall $39.95
VIPRE™ Antivirus + Antispyware $49.95 (scheduled release in Q2)

The annual subscription provides protection for unlimited PCs and includes one year of software updates and upgrades, any relevant threat definitions, and live US-based toll-free technical support.

Research led Sunbelt to new licensing model

Sunbelt surveyed approximately 1,000 computer users earlier this year, and found that 34% of users surveyed had more than three computers in their household. (21% responded with three computers, 28% responded with two computers and 17% responded with one computer. Respondents were obtained from Sunbelt's database, and were predominantly "somewhat experienced," "advanced," and "expert" users. The survey, along with the methodology, is available upon request from Sunbelt.)
