TINLEY PARK, IL--(Marketwire - May 11, 2010) - Springfield Service Corporation (SSC) today announced that Julia Tynan has been named Vice President of Hospital Services. Julia will be responsible for the overall leadership and direction of SSC's hospital services, particularly the Laguna Medical Systems, Inc. (LMS) coding and compliance division.
SSC acquired LMS in August 2009 due to the Company's extensive knowledge and reputation. The acquisition was a strategic fit for the future of SSC's hospital services.
In her new role, Julia will be tasked with the assessment and oversight management of all current LMS operations, development of a strategic operational plan and sales strategy, and the continued expansion of LMS' solutions related to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services' (CMS) regulatory programs such as Recovery Audit Contractors (RAC), Zone Program Integrity Contractors (ZPIC), and Medicaid Integrity Contractors (MIC). Julia will also be charged with the extension of LMS' services to include ICD-10, Clinical Modification, and Procedure Coding System training and education.

Julia comes to SSC from Deloitte Consulting where she served as a Senior Manager in the Strategy and Operations practice. During her 12 years at Deloitte, Julia spent the majority of her time working with large medical groups and Integrated Delivery Networks to improve their revenue cycle practices and general operations. Prior to Deloitte, Julia worked in marketing and operations in the long-term care business with several Ohio companies such as Health Care Management Group, Integrated Health Services, Arbor Health Care, and Health Care and Retirement Corporation.
Julia holds a Masters of Health Services Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
