Software Industry Veteran Don DeLoach Named as Infobright CEO
TORONTO--(Marketwire - May 25, 2010) - Infobright, whose high performance database is the preferred choice for analytic applications and data marts, today announced the appointment of Don DeLoach as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. DeLoach comes to Infobright with 25 years of software industry experience, most recently as CEO of Aleri, the complex event processing company, which was acquired by Sybase in February 2010.
DeLoach joins Infobright during a time of strong company growth. His success building software companies, combined with his extensive sales, marketing and international experience, were key factors behind his appointment. Prior to Aleri, DeLoach served as President and CEO of YOUcentric, a CRM software company, where he led the growth of the company's revenue from $2.8M to $25M in three years, before being acquired by JD Edwards. Prior to YOUcentric, DeLoach spent five years in senior sales management at Sybase, rising from District Manager to Vice President of North American Geographic Sales, Telesales, Channels, and Field Marketing. DeLoach has also served as a Director at Broadbeam Corporation and Apropos Inc.
DeLoach replaces interim CEO and current Infobright Director Mark Burton, who has led the Company since October 2009. Burton will remain as an independent Director of Infobright.
"Don is exactly the kind of leader we were looking for," said Andre M. Boisvert, Chairman of the Board at Infobright. "He is a well-respected technology executive who has demonstrated his ability to grow young companies and inspire all those he works with. His knowledge of the information management market, his personal qualities and his business acumen will help Infobright achieve its full potential over the coming years."
Boisvert continued, "The Board would also like to thank Mark Burton for the outstanding job he has done leading Infobright over the past seven months. While many interim CEOs would be inclined to keep the status quo, Mark did not shy away from strategic decisions. His repositioning of the company helped double revenue over the prior two quarters, increased customer count by 35 percent, and doubled software downloads. The Board of Directors is delighted that we will continue to benefit from Mark's invaluable experience and advice as he remains in his role as an Infobright Director."
Commenting on his appointment as Infobright's CEO, DeLoach stated, "This is an exciting time to be joining Infobright and I am honored to have been asked to lead the company into its next phase of growth and beyond."
