Sidon Reports on Exploration at Dolly Varden Property

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 26, 2008) - SIDON INTERNATIONAL RESOURCES CORP. (TSX VENTURE:SD)(FRANKFURT:SY7) The first ever drilling on this copper vein system to test the depth and immediate strike of zone has revealed some interesting base and precious metal associations that are very encouraging to the ongoing evaluation of Sidon's optioned claims, the North Dolly Varden property, southeast of Elko, Nevada.

At the initially permitted site a "fan" of 3 drill holes completed in 2007 from the same set up intersected significant amounts of iron sulphides throughout the whole length of the cores. Several zones of anomalous base metal values (some associated with anomalous values in gold and silver) were intersected in these holes.

Highlights of the results are:

Hole SD-07-01 intersected from 236.0-238.0; 2.0 feet grading .055 ppm gold, 7.2 ppm silver 1590 ppm zinc and anomalous amounts of copper and lead. From 960.0-962.0; 2 feet grading .014 ppm gold, 10.7 ppm silver and anomalous amounts of copper, zinc and lead. From 1273.5-1274.5; 1 foot grading .017 ppm gold, 13.1 ppm silver and anomalous amounts of copper, zinc and lead.

Hole SD-07-02 only anomalous amounts of copper, zinc and lead.

Hole SD-07-03 intersected from 252.0-257.0; 5.0 feet grading 4.1 ppm silver and anomalous amounts of copper zinc and lead. From 365.0-366.5; 1.5 feet grading 13.2 ppm silver, 4470 ppm lead, 5210 ppm zinc and anomalous amounts of copper and molybdenum. From 401.0-404.0; 3.0 feet grading 1.1 ppm silver, 7720 ppm zinc and anomalous amounts of copper and lead. From 431.0-436.0; 5.0 feet grading 2.91% zinc. From 449.5-451.5; 2.0 feet grading 0.088 ppm gold, 5.8 ppm silver, 2570 ppm zinc and anomalous amounts of copper and lead.

The significance of this "halo" of sulphide mineralization with the association of mainly zinc and lead base metals is two fold. First it is typical of the peripheral model of regional large scale copper porphyry mineralization and secondly it's wide spread extent in this area as a continuation of the wide spread sulphide zones reported by others to the south (extent of mineralization is now over 4000 feet in length and 3000 feet or more wide) reflects a potential association with a large system that is introducing mineralization to the region.

Currently, the company consultants are integrating analysis of the 3-D Induced Polarization, the aeromagnetic survey data and the gold anomalism of the Mobile Metal Ions surveying that has been completed over the claims in an effort to target deeper drilling suggested for the planned 2008 drilling program.

This continuation of exploration in this area, the first since the early 1980's at the close of mining of the nearby Victoria Mine, has continued to attract interest in the success to date of identifying a large geologic system that is known to be associated with large resources such as that located at Ely, Nevada (Quadra's Robinson mine), to the south and at Salt Lake City, Utah (Kennecott's Bingham Canyon mine), to the east.

The Dolly Varden Property is a copper gold skarn property located just east of the old Anaconda Victoria Mine which produced over 40 million pounds of copper ore in the 1970's.The Dolly Varden area is recognized as a classic eastern Great Basin district with base and precious metals associated with upper Paleozoic sediments intruded by Cretaceous auriferous magmas.
