LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - October 6, 2008) - The 2009 Los Angeles Fitness Expo™
presented by Gaspari Nutrition and Bodybuilding.com, California's largest
health and fitness weekend, returns January 24-25 to the Los Angeles
Convention Center, 1201 South Figueroa Street, South Halls G & H.
"We're looking forward to coming back to the Los Angeles Convention Center
with an even bigger and better Expo," said Los Angeles Fitness Expo
Executive Director Erin Ferries. "After last year's record breaking
attendance of 18,000, we've greatly expanded the size of our space and the
scope of our programming."
Attendees will find over 250 exhibits offering the newest in fitness, diet,
nutrition, strength and wellness products and services.
The Los Angeles Fitness Expo also offers 12 major competitions, including
four all-new contests introduced this year.
New events for 2009 are:
-- Wardance Entertainment presents the AMERICAN STREET DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS
-- The best street dancers in the world will come to battle in Locking,
Popping, BBoying and Hip-Hop. ASDC will take place on Sunday, January
25th. Also featured will be master street dance classes with celebrity
instructors.
-- THE GRACIE KIDS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS. The first event of its kind and
based on the success of the 2008 US Nationals, which drew hundreds of
Jiu Jitsu competitors from as far away as New Zealand.
-- Joe Wheatley Productions and USA Boxing will present 12 live boxing
matches on Saturday, January 24.
-- The inaugural FITEXPO SUMO GRAND PRIX is an International Sumo
tournament. Event host, Troy Collins, President & Trustee of the US
Sumo Federation brings his world-class competitors to the Los Angeles
Fitness Expo stage.
Returning contests include: The Iron Man Pro XX, All-American Strongman
Challenge, The Scot Mendelson Pro Bench Press Classic and USPF American Cup
Powerlifting. The Gladiator Challenge will offer a great card of MMA bouts
as well.
The Los Angeles Fitness Expo also offers educational seminars and
demonstrations led by the world's premier fitness professionals. Subjects
include: proper nutrition and dieting, exercise philosophies, making health
and fitness your business and many more.

Angeles Fitness Expo's extensive marketing campaign includes print, radio,

Adult admission tickets are $15 per day or $20 for the full weekend,
children 6-12 years are $5 per day and under six are free. Show hours are
