Ruberg Symposium Hosted by Plastic Surgeons in Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwire - Aug 30, 2012) -  The Ohio State University Department of Plastic Surgery will be hosting their Fourth Annual Ruberg Symposium, located at Gowdy Fields in Columbus, OH on September 7th, 2012. In celebration of Dr. Robert Ruberg's lifelong dedication to medical service, the Columbus plastic surgeons will be presenting and lecturing on a number of surgical topics including breast reconstruction, body contouring, and trauma treatment, among others. The symposium will run from 7:30 AM until 5:00 PM (including breakfast, lunch, and breaks) and will consist of 15 speakers whose mission is to supply their fellow medical professionals with the information and expertise necessary to enhance the care their patients receive.

By the end of the symposium, the OSU plastic surgeons hope participants will be able to incorporate a variety of new treatments into their own plastic surgery centers, including migraine surgery and fat freezing techniques. Additionally, speakers will teach participants how to address particular cases involving aesthetic breast issues and breast reconstruction, gunshot wounds to the head and neck, trauma to lower extremities, and various body contouring options following dramatic weight loss. The plastic surgeons say they feel optimistic that everyone, including themselves, will benefit from the sharing of knowledge while greatly enjoying the overall experience.

In order to attend the Columbus plastic surgery symposium, participants must register online or by mail. The cost to attend is a flat rate of $300, and the OSU surgeons advise any out-of-town attendees to make hotel reservations quickly as the symposium falls on a home football game weekend. Additional details and information can be found by visiting the Center for Continuing Medical Education website and downloading the Ruberg Symposium brochure located at the bottom of the page. The OSU surgeons say they believe continued education is the cornerstone to enhancing the future of plastic surgery, and they hope anyone interested will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to learn.
