Riverside Medical Center Proudly Presents the "Good Heart Award" to Connie Ashline

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - March 31, 2008) - Riverside Medical Center proudly presented the "Good Heart Award" to Connie Ashline at the Riverside Heart Ball Gala Event on March 8, 2008. Connie Ashline serves as the Chairman of the Riverside Medical Center Board of Directors. The Riverside Good Heart Award symbolizes passion and dedication to the community with support and a vision for Riverside Medical Center.

The Good Heart Award was presented by Phil Kambic, the President and CEO of Riverside Medical Center, and Matt McBurnie, the Riverside HealthCare Foundation Executive Director, to Ashline in the presence of almost 600 Riverside supporters. During the presentation of the Good Heart Award at the Gala, Kambic stated, "Connie has been our mentor, advisor, counselor, friend, but most importantly, our inspiration."

The Good Heart Award celebrates dedicated Riverside supporters such as Connie Ashline for their ongoing contributions to medical advancement. Patients with heart problems can turn to Riverside for solutions with confidence. Riverside Medical Center was ranked number one in Illinois for clinical excellence in heart surgery according to a recent study released by HealthGrades. Riverside Medical Center received the HealthGrades Cardiac Care Excellence Award and the HeathGrades Cardiac Surgery Excellence Award and was also proud to be ranked among the top five percent in the nation for cardiac surgery. More than 1,800 open heart surgery procedures and over 14,500 cardiac catherizations have been performed at Riverside.
