ReMac Proposes Share Consolidation

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 29, 2008) - ReMac Zinc Corp. ("ReMac") (TSX VENTURE:RMZ) announces that it is proposing that its Board of Directors be given the authority at its upcoming Special Meeting on Thursday, November 20, 2008 (the "Meeting") to effect a consolidation of its shares.

The Company's shareholders will be asked to approve a share consolidation on the basis of up to seven (7) old common shares of the Company for one (1) new common share of the Company. Such a share consolidation would reduce the number of outstanding shares and the holdings of each shareholder on an up to 7 to 1 basis. The 24,596,155 shares of the Company that are currently outstanding would be reduced to approximately 3,513,736 shares. The share consolidation is subject to shareholder approval and TSX Venture Exchange acceptance.

In the opinion of the Company's management, the consolidation is necessary as the current share structure of the Company will make it more difficult or impossible for the Company to attract the additional equity financing required to maintain the Company or to allow for the acquisition of new projects of merit. No fractional shares will be issued. Any fractions of a share will be rounded down to the nearest whole number of common shares. Implementation of the share consolidation does not have an effect on the actual or intrinsic value of the business of the Company.

ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD

J. Stephen Barley, President
