DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - January 6, 2009) - Redrock Micro, the leading provider of cinema accessories for digital filmmakers, today announced that Barry Jenkins' debut feature film "Medicine for Melancholy" has been nominated for multiple Independent Spirit Awards, including Best Cinematography. The independent film was shot with the Panasonic AG-HVX200 and Redrock M2 cinema lens adapter. It was an official selection of the Toronto International Film Festival and was awarded the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature by the San Francisco International Film Festival. The Sarasota Film Festival invented a new award this year to specifically recognize the film's cinematography.
