Freescore.com Launches New Campaign Featuring Ben Stein
Direct Response Experts -- R2C Group Debut Witty New Commercial for Online Credit Service Provider -- Freescore.com, Featuring Political-Financial Guru, Ben Stein
PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - July 23, 2009) - This week, online credit service provider, Freescore.com is debuting a new campaign, empowering consumers with new, innovative services to protect and monitor their credit. And no, there will be no singing pirates in restaurants or cheesy love songs to convey the message. Instead, Freescore.com is working with Direct Response Advertising experts, R2C Group, producing a witty, informative 60-second spot aiming to leverage the popularity and influence of longtime political, financial, and entertainment icon, Ben Stein.
Ben Stein -- economist, lawyer, actor, former Presidential speechwriter, and pop culture icon, is the proud new spokesperson for FreeScore.com. Freescore.com's new commercial opens with Stein sitting on a park bench reading a newspaper with the headline: "Americans in Financial Hole." With bankers chasing gophers in the background, hitting them on their heads whenever they pop-up from their gopher holes, Stein explains, "Think about it. If you're buried up to your neck in debt, it can feel like creditors trying to whack you on the head."
Freescore.com awarded the project to R2C Group largely due to their experience and reputation as the industry's leading direct response advertising agency. With a client list that spans traditional Direct Response clients like Bare Escentuals, Bosley, Nautilus Bowflex, Euro-Pro, DirectBuy, and NordicTrack, R2C Group also works extensively with blue-chip brand clients like Estee Lauder, General Mills, Proctor & Gamble, Nestle, Bayer, The Home Depot, and many others. In fact, R2C Group's recent success in the financial category with the likes of Chase, Fisher Investments, Bar None and Humana brings a unique expertise to Freescore.com's new campaign.
"Given the current state of the economy, I believe Freescore.com is well-positioned to succeed, offering unquestionable value to consumers who are looking to protect and monitor their credit," explained R2C Group CEO Tim O'Leary. "With our creative teams and media teams working hand-in-hand, a Direct Response campaign is the perfect solution for the emerging, innovative service offerings that Freescore.com provides. We're delighted to be working with them."
Speaking to his new role as commercial spokesperson for FreeScore.com, Mr. Stein explained, "When I was asked to do these commercials, I found out the importance of knowing your credit scores from more than one source. Poor scores can cost people a loan, a better interest rate or even a job. Most important, people can have mistakes or erroneous information on their credit record and not know it. With a credible service like FreeScore.com, getting this information is easy."
The Freescore.com spot debuts this week on National network, cable, and satellite television media and expects to have a significant presence, spanning a variety of targeted media outlets. The spot can be viewed on Freescore.com's promotional website: www.freescore.tv.
In addition to the creative work, independently-owned R2C Group is also managing the media campaign through their media division, Cmedia. Cmedia specializes in direct response media, where highly measurable results empower clients to continually optimize a campaign, while leveraging efficiencies in remnant media, and ultimately maximizing the return on the investment.
R2C Group, Inc., the nation's largest independent direct response agency is a full-service, response-driven advertising agency headquartered in Portland, Oregon -- with offices in San Francisco, Philadelphia, Providence, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Leveraging "the Art and Science of Accountable Advertising," R2C Group combines the talent and resources of creative agency Respond2 and media buying agencies Cmedia and Marketing & Media Services (MMSI). Clients include Estee Lauder, Philips, Humana Bare Escentuals, Chase, KitchenAid, Nautilus Bowflex, Adobe, Euro-Pro, Fisher Investments, and many others.
