Quickoffice® Brings Mobile Office Productivity Application to Notion Ink's Adam Tablet
Award-Winning Software Included on New Android-Based Tablet Device to Enhance Users' Work on the Go
DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - March 2, 2011) - Quickoffice, Inc., the global leader in mobile office productivity solutions, today announced a partnership with Notion Ink, a tablet manufacturer based in India. Under the terms of the agreement, Quickoffice is the exclusive mobile Office application embedded on the Adam tablet, a dual-core, 10-inch tablet running on a customized Eden user interface, a blend of Android 2.3 and 3.0.
Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite is the first full-featured productivity suite for Android that provides comprehensive viewing and editing of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. In addition, the application seamlessly integrates with mobile cloud storage providers, including Google® docs, Box.net and Dropbox, which enables simple anytime, anywhere access to a user's digital content stored in remote repositories. Quickoffice increases mobile productivity by providing robust editing features, a simple interface and intuitive file manager for easy management of crucial Office documents.
"The ability to not only access and view important documents, but to also edit and share them on your mobile device is crucial for consumers and mobile professionals in today's fast-paced world," said CTO, Rohit Rathi, at Notion Ink. "We're excited to provide consumers with our one-of-a-kind Adam tablet. The inclusion of Quickoffice will ensure they can remain productive when on the road."
Quickoffice's file manager allows users to create folders and organize all digital content. This includes creating, copying, moving, deleting and renaming files, and browsing Zip files as folders, which cuts down on time searching for content. Email address fields are integrated with contacts, making it easier to quickly choose addresses and share content. The application's robust editing capabilities include the most advanced Excel-compatible calculation engine available. Users can also view headers and footers, search for text and follow hyperlinks, phone numbers and email addresses within documents.
"We are very excited to be a part of the Adam tablet from Notion Ink," said David Halpin, VP of engineering. "Tablet users will truly appreciate the key viewing and editing functionality Quickoffice's software provides, along with the ability to easily access and manage their remote content whenever they are mobile."
Notion Ink's Adam has a multi-touch display, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity and includes Nvidia's Tegra 2 processor. Now available, the Wi-Fi version with an LCD display starts at $375 and for $549, consumers can purchase the model that comes with 3G connectivity, a backlit LCD and e-ink display technology.
