Qorvis Promotes Collender and Quint to Partner

Strong 2008 Results Leads to 16 Promotions at All Levels

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - February 9, 2009) - Qorvis Communications, one of the largest independent integrated communications firms in the U.S., today announced 16 promotions including Stan Collender and Michael Quint to partner and Jennifer Baskerville, Elissa Dodge, Karen Gauthier and Seth Thomas Pietras to managing director.

Stan Collender, who joined Qorvis in 2006, is one of the most-prominent private sector experts on the federal budget, Congress, and Wall Street's response to Washington tax and spending policies. He is also one of the top financial services communications professionals and has designed and implemented award-winning communications efforts for financial companies, Wall Street firms, trade associations and federal agencies.

Michael Quint, who joined Qorvis in 2003, works with technology companies and government contractors, ranging from start-up to publicly traded, to develop comprehensive communications campaigns that enable them to effectively tell their story to drive sales efforts and achieve business goals.

The four Qorvis staff promoted to managing director are:

Jennifer Baskerville, who joined Qorvis in 2004, develops innovative public relations and media campaigns for national and international clients, and oversees Qorvis' state-of-the-art, in-house Media Training Center. Prior to joining Qorvis, Jennifer was an Emmy award winning network television producer for CNN.

Elissa Dodge, who joined Qorvis in 2004, leads public affairs accounts for both public and private sector clients. Dodge manages campaigns that include corporate communications, product launches, legislative and regulatory outreach, event management, and media relations for a variety of corporations, trade associations, and non-profit clients.

Karen Gauthier, who joined Qorvis in 2007, is a corporate marketing executive, possessing deep experience with international corporations within the petroleum, entertainment and motorsports industries. Gauthier is responsible for positive client and agency relations and the planning, coordination and implementation of strategic marketing and advertising plans for clients.

Seth Thomas Pietras, who joined Qorvis in 2004, develops marketing strategies and provides editorial consultation to Qorvis and its clients. In 2006, he formed Qorvis' internal editorial consultancy, QED, for which he has been the head editor and chief speechwriter. In addition to becoming managing director, Pietras now leads Qorvis' marketing efforts and is integral in new business development.

Ten additional employees were promoted including Lauren Poplawski to senior director; David Mayorga to director; Erica Schmidt to director; Katie Young to director; Naveed Mahmood to helpdesk manager; Katie Barr to senior associate; Chelsea Cummings to senior associate; Josh Hillebrand to senior associate; Zeinab Mohtadi to senior associate; and Sarabeth Patch to senior associate.
