OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 9, 2008) - The Public Health Agency of Canada and Health Canada have been made aware of a train that has stopped in Foleyet, Ontario. Federal officials are collaborating with provincial and regional counterparts to assess the situation and take action as appropriate.

The Minister of Health has been briefed and has directed his officials to notify and liaise with provincial, regional and local authorities both in Foleyet and at all points along the route the train traveled.
