BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - January 7, 2011) - Polaris Venture Partners today announced that Matt Meeker (@mmeeker), co-founder of Meetup.com, is its newest entrepreneur in residence (EIR) in the New York City Dogpatch Labs. As EIR, Matt will work with early stage entrepreneurs and founders as they conceive of and launch startups and build upon the synergies between the three Dogpatch locations and the alumni network. Dogpatch Labs has now hosted more than 200 entrepreneurs across its NYC, Cambridge, Mass. and San Francisco locations, offering space, connectivity and "open-sourced" collaboration through industry events and open houses that encourage a constant atmosphere of breakthrough innovation.
