Pizza Once-A-Month for a Lifetime!
Pizza Pizza offers special prize for the customer who places company's one millionth online order
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 25, 2009) - Pizza Pizza projects it will hit its one millionth online order in the next few weeks. To celebrate, the company will offer the lucky customer who places this momentous order a monthly delivery of pizza, free, for the rest of his or her life.
Everyone is able to follow the promotion online by becoming fans and followers of the Pizza Pizza team's social networking pages on Facebook and Twitter. As the numbers of online orders get close to one million, announcements about how close the company is will appear in the online conversation.
"Our contests have a way of bringing out bright smiles from our winners," said Pat Finelli, chief marketing officer for Pizza Pizza. "But this one takes the cake – or pizza!"
Pizza Pizza has a longstanding history of innovative leadership in the pizza sector. The company was the first to implement a computer ordering system, a centralized call centre and was also the first to turn its phone number into a now commonly recognized jingle: '9-6-7-11-11.' Pizza Pizza believes it is the first to offer pizza for life as a prize.
Based on an average lifespan of 80 years, a 20 year old person would enjoy 720 large pizzas. That's a value of roughly $14,000 based on a consecutive large three topping pizza order. A 50 year old person could enjoy roughly 3,600 slices of pizza. A 70 year old person could enjoy approximately 4,000 pieces of pepperoni.
