PhoneFusion Releases Beta Version of Visual Voicemail for Android Smartphones
Fusion Voicemail Plus™ Beta Now Available on Android Market; Users Can Centralize Multiple Voicemail Boxes and Prioritize Important Messages Right on Their Android Devices
FT. LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwire - November 24, 2008) - PhoneFusion™, an innovative provider
of reliable, hosted communications solutions, announced today the
availability of the beta version of Fusion Voicemail Plus™
for Android smartphones. This is the only visual voicemail application
available to Android smartphone users. The company recently previewed the
application at the Under the
Radar: Mobility event. Due to overwhelming response from the Android
community, PhoneFusion sped up the development process and is releasing the
beta version of this free visual voicemail application weeks ahead of
schedule on Android Market.
With voicemail at home, work and on a wireless device, it's not uncommon
for people to have three or more voicemail boxes to maintain. PhoneFusion's
Fusion Voicemail Plus service provides users the ability to centralize all
of their voicemail boxes and see -- right on the screen of their
Android-powered mobile device -- a list of their voicemail messages in one
place. The service also allows users to listen to their voicemails directly
from their smartphone. A new, patent-pending technology displays Caller ID
Name on each voicemail, even if the information isn't already saved in the
users' phonebooks.
The iPhone-like visual voicemail application is already available on any
cell phone network in the United States for BlackBerry devices as well as
smartphones running on Windows Mobile 5 and 6. Fusion Voicemail Plus
provides a faster, more efficient way to listen to voicemail messages in
the order people want, rather than dialing multiple voicemail systems and
listening to the messages in chronological order.
"After previewing Fusion Voicemail Plus for Android smartphones, we
received an overwhelming amount of interest from the Android community,"
said Louis Libin, chief executive officer, PhoneFusion. "Our PhoneFusion
development team has worked around-the-clock to get a beta version of the
application ready for use. Stay tuned as we will continue roll out
additional functionality in the next few weeks, showing PhoneFusion's
commitment to enhancing the user experience beyond a mobile device's
limits."
Based on early feedback from the Android community, PhoneFusion enhanced
the look and feel of Fusion Voicemail Plus before releasing the beta
version to the public. As the company works to enhance the product,
PhoneFusion's engineering team welcomes feedback. Please send comments on
the application to androidfeedback@phonefusion.com.
