Phoenix Author Michelle Rigg Reveals Secrets to Personal Growth in Her New Book "You Must Be out of Your Mind"

SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwire - July 27, 2010) - Estimated at $19 billion a year, the personal growth/personal development industry is thriving. It demonstrates a blend of people striving to improve themselves for career purposes and an emerging trend of those simply wishing to take their lives and their futures into their own hands.

Success of the movie and book "The Secret" shows an interest by many in taking charge of their lives, rather than submitting to the hands of fate. This popular book has introduced the power of intention to eager listeners. It has given people a belief they can consciously control and create their own life. But not all personal experiences are smooth or truly life changing.

A rising star in the personal growth industry, Michelle Rigg from Phoenix, Arizona, describes her early struggles to change her own life by studying the self-improvement teachers of the day. "I found that each person or modality I studied was great in a specific area, such as emotional issues or mental limitations, but they didn't take hold for me. Sure, they were inspiring, but permanent change wasn't happening."

The challenge many face with personal growth programs is that of effecting permanent changes to behavior. According to Deon Du Plessis, the three biggest barriers people face in their own personal growth are procrastination, indecision and comfort zones. People tend to get set in their ways of thinking and acting, resulting in personal inertia that is resistant to change, especially when away from group support.

Michelle Rigg discovered her dynamic methodology by taking a holistic approach. "I found that the others were not dealing with the complete individual. People would make a change in one area, but other parts of themselves would sabotage the progress." As a result Rigg developed a seven dimensional approach so that changes would take on all levels within the individual. Her program is described in her book "You Must Be Out of Your Mind" as well as her self-paced program "Ideal Outcome System."

Regardless of the methodology selected, many discover that the desire to deal with a specific issue, such as lack of confidence or hang-ups about money, leads to more fundamental personality issues. Even well-adapted individuals with happy, healthy childhoods can have personal challenges.
