Fewer than 1,000 tickets available for opening night against Detroit

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 1, 2008) - With less than two weeks remaining before the Ottawa Senators' first home game at Scotiabank Place, the club announced today that fewer than 1,000 tickets remain for the season opener against the defending Stanley Cup champions, Detroit Red Wings, on Saturday, Oct. 11, and a total of 11,000 remain for all five home dates in October.

Wayne Gretzky and the Phoenix Coyotes will be in town on Friday, Oct. 17, followed by Zdeno Chara and the Boston Bruins on Saturday, Oct. 18. The Florida Panthers come to Ottawa for the first of two visits this season on Wednesday, Oct. 22. The Senators homestand closes out with what will be their only regular-season contest against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday, Oct. 24.

Saturday, Oct. 11, vs. Detroit: Fewer than 1,000 tickets remaining; opening night

Friday, Oct. 17, vs. Phoenix: Fewer than 1,000 tickets remaining; all tickets half price

Saturday, Oct. 18, vs. Boston: Fewer than 3,000 tickets remaining; Sport Chek Kids Opening Night and kids tickets half price

Wednesday, Oct. 22, vs. Florida: Fewer than 5,000 tickets remaining; all tickets half price

Friday, Oct. 24, vs. Anaheim: Fewer than 1,500 tickets remaining; McDonald's Family Game
