Derek Miller Named Head Hockey Instructor For Ottawa Senators® Hockey Programs
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 28, 2008) - Capital Sports Management Inc. (CSMI) today announced the hiring of Derek Miller as its new head hockey instructor.
Miller spent the last two hockey seasons playing for the Bossier Shreveport Mudbugs of the Central Hockey League in 2007-08 and splitting the 2006-07 season between the Elmira Jackals and the Quad City Mallards of the United Hockey League. Prior to that, he played four years at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, spending one season as the team's captain in 2006.
During the last five off-seasons, Miller has worked as a head hockey instructor with one of the world's largest hockey schools - Planet Hockey. Planet Hockey operates in 10 countries around the world, including Canada, the United States, Sweden, New Zealand, the Czech Republic, Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria and Germany and instructs more than 3,500 players each summer.

The Ottawa Senators® Hockey Programs are operated by Capital Sports Management Inc, primarily out of its headquarters at the Bell Sensplex and also at the Cavanagh Sensplex in Kinburn. CSMI instructors are also available for team and association skill development sessions at any arena in the Ottawa area. Each season, CSMI has approximately 6,000 participants in various programs, including conditioning camps, youth leagues and adult and youth skill development camps.
