Ottawa Senators Hockey Club

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 7, 2007) - In conjunction with the Ottawa West Amateur Athletic Association, members of the Senators Alumni will join forces with the Ottawa West Golden Knights (OWGK) Junior B Hockey Club to present OWGK's 30th Anniversary Alumni Day at the Barbara Ann Scott Arena on Saturday, Dec. 8.

The evening's festivities will begin at 5 p.m. with an oldtimers game between the Shawville Pontiacs and the Golden Knights, while the night's main event features a 6:30 p.m. game, pitting the Senators alumni against recent Knights alumni. Some of the former Senators scheduled to participate in the contest include Ron Tugnutt, Laurie Boschman and Jim Kyte. A regular season 8 p.m. game between Ottawa West and Shawville will bring the night to a close.

A portion of the proceeds from the $12 ticket, which includes all three games, will benefit the Ottawa Ambassadors Hockey Club. Children wearing a minor hockey sweater will be eligible to purchase a $4 entry ticket.

The Ottawa Senators Alumni was established in 1992. The former NHL hockey players have raised more than $2.2 million and have given many hours of their time to local charity events.
