OCI Announces Interim Cash Dividend of USD 1 per Ordinary Share

Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) confirmed that its Board of
Directors has approved the distribution of an interim cash dividend
equivalent to USD 1 per ordinary share (USD 2 per Global Depository
Receipt). The following details apply to ordinary shares on the Cairo &
Alexandria Stock Exchanges (CASE):


  . The distribution of part of available retained earnings based
    on the audited financial statements for the fiscal year ended 31
    December 2007.

  . The record date of the USD 1.00 dividend per ordinary share will
    be 21 September 2008.

  . The payment date will be on 24 September 2008.

  . The dividend will be payable in Egyptian Pounds as per the US
    Dollar/Egyptian Pound exchange rate on 18 September 2008.


Details pertaining to the distribution of the cash dividend to holders
of Global Depository Receipts will be circulated by Bank of New York
Mellon.
