Local Narrative Winners
- Local students Chase, Drew, and Tori of Woodstock Elementary School in
Bibb County School District collaborated with students in Brazil to create
an entry called "Let's Rock and Roll," which was awarded 1st Place in the
15 and under age division. The entry explored the origins of rock and roll
music and its impact on society. The team was coached by teacher Kristin
Lightsey.
- Winning teams were selected from among 1,200 teams from 26 countries.
Countries represented by winners include Brazil, India, Puerto Rico,
Singapore, South Africa, and the United States.
- Teams had approximately four months to research their topics and
publish their entries using OEF's ThinkQuest Projects platform. An
international panel of volunteer judges reviewed the entries and selected
