Nominations Open for 2009 Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - January 9, 2009) - Nominations are now being accepted for the 2009 Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards taking place Thursday, May 28, 2009. This fourth annual event is presented by Larkin Street Youth Services and the San Francisco Business Times. At last year's awards ceremony, over 450 Bay Area business leaders gathered to recognize the finalists and award winners and to raise over $400,000 to benefit Larkin Street Youth Services. This year, Bay Area CFOs will be recognized for their successes and contributions through one Hall of Fame - Lifetime Achievement award and six CFO of the Year award categories.

"These awards honor the best of the best," said Mary Huss, Publisher, San Francisco Business Times. "Last year's finalists and winners are an impressive group and we look forward to honoring a new group of leaders who exemplify professionalism, integrity and vision."

Nominations are being solicited for Bay Area Chief Financial Officers who have made outstanding contributions to their company's performance as well as to the greater Bay Area business community in the following categories:

    CFO of the Year for:

           Public Company with revenues above $500MM
           Public Company with revenues up to $500MM
           Non-Public Company
           Venture-Backed Company
           Community Service
           Transformation Agent

Finalists and winners will be chosen by a blue ribbon independent Selection Panel comprised of business and academic leaders. Winners will be announced at the awards dinner and ceremony on May 28, 2009 at the Palace Hotel, San Francisco.

Nominations may be submitted online at www.cfoawards.org. Nominations must be received by February 27, 2009.

The 2009 Bay Area CFO of the Year Awards is a partnership between the San Francisco Business Times and Larkin Street Youth Services. All proceeds from this event will benefit Larkin Street Youth Services, which for 25 years has provided a safe place for thousands of youth who find themselves living on the streets, through no fault of their own.
