New Life Center for Bariatric Surgery Relocates in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, TN--(Marketwire - Aug 16, 2012) - New Life Center for Bariatric Surgery will move to a new location. Dr. Stephen G. Boyce, a Knoxville bariatric surgeon, is expanding the size of his facility to better provide patients with the latest advancements in technology and surgical techniques. The grand opening of the new office will be Monday, August 20th. Dr. Boyce says, "I am very excited to be partnering with the Tennova healthcare system. They are a technologically advanced facility and have demonstrated a high level of dedication to the bariatric patient."

Dr. Boyce and his team at New Life Center for Bariatric Surgery have already helped thousands of individuals achieve their personal weight loss goals. Collectively, the Knoxville bariatric surgery team at New Life has over 75 years of experience. As the first Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence® designated by the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery in the United States, New Life offers more weight loss options than any other practice in East Tennessee.

Consultations are available to determine not only if potential patients are eligible for surgery, but which of the many weight loss surgeries is the best option for the individual. Dr. Boyce offers every approved bariatric operation available -- all of which are performed laparoscopically -- including bandings, vertical sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and biliary pancreatic diversion with duodenal switch. New Life Center for Bariatric Surgery is committed to patient education and provides online and in-person seminars for prospective patients about the benefits and risks of bariatric surgery. These seminars facilitate more informed and productive consultations with the doctors and lead to more clearly defined goals for the patients.

The center also provides support groups for patients leading up to their surgery and post-operative follow-up consultations to discuss nutrition, exercise, and any other concerns that might arise afterward. Dr. Boyce even offers consultations for patients who received bariatric surgery at outside facilities and are concerned with their results. Regardless of the weight loss goals an individual may have, Dr. Boyce believes in the importance of support before the surgery, afterward, and through all of the steps in between.
