Net Optics Provides New Link Aggregator Solutions for Converged Networks
SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - August 27, 2007) - Net Optics, Inc. continues its dedication
to providing increased network monitoring efficiency by announcing a newly
released family of Link Aggregator products. We've
achieved a new level of visibility for monitoring network performance and
security threats by providing four separate monitoring ports in a single
device. Each port is capable of seeing 100 percent of your networks data,
voice and video traffic from up to four network or eight Span ports.
New features include support for 10/100 Zero Delay™ technology,
interfaces for 10/100/1000 (Triple-speed) Span or in-line and Gigabit fiber
network speeds. Additionally, the use of small-form factor pluggable (SFP)
monitor port interfaces gives the option to utilize existing equipment,
regardless of its NIC type. For example, the increased flexibility allows
Gigabit copper, fiber transceivers or a combination of both to be deployed
in any of the four monitoring ports.
"This new family of Link Aggregators addresses our customers needs to
consolidate their monitoring requirements into a single 1U-high device,"
said Trent Fierro, Marketing Manager at Net Optics. "We've also delivered
on our promise to provide a variety of interface types that our customers
need for today's networks, while delivering future flexibility."
As with all Net Optics Products, Link Aggregators are reliable, passive,
in-line devices that do not introduce a point of failure. Full-duplex
traffic, including layer 1 and 2 errors is forwarded to monitoring tools
for comprehensive performance and security analysis.
Combined with monitoring tools, this family of 100% passive Link
Aggregators create a versatile test system for improved network visibility,
and network performance management. Dedicated access to network links also
eliminates the downtime required to relocate or deploy required monitoring
tools specific to data, voice or video traffic analysis. IT staff can now
share a common access point that enables a collaborative approach to
monitoring converged networks.
