Nautilus Introduces the Schwinn® 460 Variable Stride Elliptical Machine
Step, Walk, Run Your Way to Better Fitness
VANCOUVER, WA--(Marketwire - October 15, 2008) - Leading fitness equipment manufacturer
Nautilus, Inc. (NYSE: NLS) is taking exercise to a whole new level. New
for 2008, Nautilus introduces the Schwinn® 460 -- an elliptical machine
that lets users vary stride lengths dynamically for nearly infinite variety
and customized comfort with every workout. Uniquely designed for home use,
the Schwinn 460 Elliptical incorporates three foot-driven motions --
stepping, walking, and running -- with an integrated handlebar system to
engage upper- and lower-body muscles. Using V-stride™ elliptical
technology and independently moving footplates, the Schwinn 460 engages
both sides of the body to optimize users' fitness results, which are
trackable using the Schwinn Advantage™ personal training program.
"The 460 brings real innovation to the Schwinn brand in fitness equipment,"
said Nathan Roe, Director of Marketing at Nautilus. "With a Schwinn legacy
that began in the 1960s with the Deluxe Exerciser, and now 30 years after
the introduction of the famous Airdyne® stationary bike, we are excited
in 2008 to continue the Schwinn heritage of quality, innovation and value."
The Schwinn 460 includes eleven workout profiles built by fitness
professionals from the Nautilus Institute®, with instructional messaging
for maximizing stride lengths and motions. Other features include a
back-lit touch screen console, an oversized water bottle holder, contact
and telemetric heart rate chest monitoring, and an angle-adjustable fan.
With 16 workout levels, the Schwinn 460 is controlled by a quiet, magnetic
ECB (Eddy current brake) resistance system.
MSRP: $1599. Available nationwide at major sporting goods stores,
including Amazon.com, Dick's Sporting Goods, MC Sports, and
Schwinn-authorized bike dealers nationwide. For more information, visit:
