Working in conjunction with the high performance Sheeva CPU integrated in Marvell's Prestera DX line of switching silicon, the Napera service brings new levels of security to a broad range of small business (SMB) and small and medium enterprise (SME) users, in a convenient online offering.

Available as a subscription service with compatible Marvell-based Ethernet switches, the Napera service offers switch vendors a co-branded online service offering that delivers valuable security features and product differentiation with every Ethernet switch. The Napera service is provided on a turnkey basis with Marvell's production-ready Marvell Total Solution (MTS) software and silicon.

For end users, the Napera online service leverages switching infrastructure to provide SMB and SME IT managers with an affordable and effective way to secure their networks, without the cost and complexity of traditional enterprise solutions. Within minutes of activating the Napera service on a compatible switch, IT managers can see the health and identity of every computer on their local network via a secured Web browser session.
