LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - September 1, 2009) - Doris Roberts, whose latest film, "Another Harvest Moon," will be shown at the first annual Louisville's International Festival of Film, on October 3, is to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at a special dinner following the screening.
Doris, who received four Emmys® for her comedic turn as Marie Barone during the nine year run of "Everybody Loves Raymond" and another Emmy® for her dramatic portrayal of a homeless woman in "St. Elsewhere," has appeared in countless movies and television shows and is a 30-year veteran of Broadway.
In "Another Harvest Moon," a sensitive drama about four elderly Americans coping with life in a nursing home, she stars with Ernest Borgnine, Piper Laurie, Anne Meara, Richard Schiff and Cybill Shepherd.
The film is an Aurora Films and SMD Entertainment Productions presentation, directed by Greg W. Swartz from a screenplay by Jeremy T. Black. Bobby Black, Chad Taylor and Jason Weiss produced and Steven M. Delamater was executive producer.
