MumboJumbo Announces Fourth Quarter Releases
Franchise Titles LUXOR and 7 Wonders Among Titles on Horizon
DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - July 24, 2008) - MumboJumbo, leading developer and publisher of
premium casual games, revealed what's in store for the fourth quarter of
2008 today at Casual Connect in Seattle.
Key to the lineup are the latest installments in LUXOR and 7 Wonders, the
company's signature franchises. This fall, LUXOR will venture out of Egypt
in an engrossing adventure that takes the player on a journey to reclaim
the family's stolen treasures. Exploring intricately rendered settings in
Persia, Syria and five other exotic lands, the latest installment in LUXOR
also will unveil a never-before-seen game play mode.
This fall also will introduce 7 Wonders III, the next chapter in the
match-3 game that takes you through magnificent wonders of the world. Along
with new wonders to build, 7 Wonders III will feature a fresh game-play
mechanic that will engage players beyond the typical matching gameplay. The
new twist will be revealed in coming months.
"We're very excited to bring two completely innovative game mechanics to
our franchise hits LUXOR and 7 Wonders," said Mark Cottam, CEO of
MumboJumbo. "Taking LUXOR out of Egypt and adding a new game play mode will
only elevate the game that players have come to know and love. And, the new
mechanic we've developed for 7 Wonders is going to really blow the fans
away."
New to the MumboJumbo catalog of titles is Lost Secrets: A Samantha Stone
Adventure. The mix of adventure, hidden object and puzzle game play will
appeal to a large number of casual gamers. Players will follow Samantha
Stone, a curious and daring archeologist, on the verge of a great find in
the new adventure series.
This strong fourth quarter line-up will follow a number of casual hits on
the release docket for retail release in the third quarter. In September,
MumboJumbo will release Cooking Academy from Fugazo and Can You See What I
See? by Freeze Tag, both of which performed strongly at online game
portals. Also slated for the third quarter are Etch A Sketch, the new
adventure game based on the classic toy from Freeze Tag, and Tumblebugs 2,
the hit marble shooter game from Wildfire Studios in Australia. These
titles will join the previously announced release schedule that includes
Little Farm and Discovery!, both developed by MumboJumbo.
"We've had a great first half of the year in terms of sales and digital
releases, and we are looking forward to finishing out 2008 with strong
online and retail performances," said Cottam. "We have some really great
titles on the horizon that will allow us to easily accomplish this."
