MultiPlan Now Accepting Submissions for 2008 Holiday Card Program
NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - July 28, 2008) - MultiPlan, Inc., the nation's oldest and largest independent PPO network, announced today it is now accepting submissions for its annual Holiday Card Program. As one of MultiPlan's most popular philanthropic initiatives, the Holiday Card Program collects holiday-inspired drawings from pediatric patients in participating MultiPlan hospitals and hosts a vote on its website. The five entries that receive the most votes are made into holiday greeting cards, courtesy of MultiPlan. The hospitals that submit these top five drawings receive a supply of cards for use in fundraising, at holiday events and to sell in their gift shops.
"This is a truly special program for our organization," says Paul Goldstein, Chief Medical Officer for MultiPlan. "It helps children get through their hospital stay and at the same time helps support our hospitals. Through our Holiday Card program we are all able to share in the spirit of the season through the perspective of these young patients."
To be eligible for this contest, entries must be received by Friday, August 29, 2008. Voting will take place on MultiPlan's web site at http://www.multiplan.com/providers/holidaycardprogram.cfm September 15 - 26 and winners will be announced in early October.
In addition to the Holiday Card Program, MultiPlan provides participating hospitals with Jeep PowerWheels™ toy cars through its Toy Car Program, and issues grants to qualifying hospitals through its Rural Health Outreach Grant Program.
