Michael Chamas Files Federal Court Damages Action of $385,000,000 Against Richard Martel and Others
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 10, 2008) - Bailiff returns of service have been received in a federal court damages action of $385 Million by Michael Chamas against various individuals and Canadian government departments.
The damages action alleges breaches of duty and abuses of power implicating, among others, the following persons:
Hon. Robert Douglas Nicholson, Attorney General of Canada, Marlene Archer, Crown Prosecutor, Marc Legault, Stephan Charbonneau, Jean Gagnon (all agents of the RCMP), Stockwell Day, Maxime Bernier, Hon. Gordon O'Connor; Rene Gagniere, Richard Martel and Wissam Hannah (all of CRA), Hon. Diane Finley, Jacques Beaupre (SQ), and Michel Strecko (Informant of RCMP); as well as the following governmental departments: RCMP, Public Safety Canada, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Canada Revenue Agency, Citizenship & Immigration Canada, and the Surete du Quebec.
Defendants, being held jointly and severally liable, have 30 days to make their intentions known.
