OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 3, 2009) - On Wednesday, March 4, 2009, the Honourable Stockwell Day, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Chair of Canada's Cabinet Committee on Afghanistan, and the Honourable Beverley J. Oda, Minister of International Cooperation and Vice Chair of Canada's Cabinet Committee on Afghanistan will provide an overview of the Government of Canada's third quarterly report on Canada's engagement in Afghanistan.

Senior representatives from the Afghanistan Task Force, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, the Canadian International Development Agency, and the Department of National Defence will provide a background technical briefing in advance of the Ministers' availability.
