On Friday, October 23, 2009 the Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Federal Minister of Health, Dr. David Butler-Jones, Chief Public Health Officer for Canada and Dr. Danielle Grondin, Assistant Deputy Minister, Infectious Disease and Emergency Preparedness at the Public Health Agency of Canada will be in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories for the following activities:
10:30 a.m. (Mountain Time): Media are invited to join Minister Aglukkaq, Dr. Butler-Jones and Dr. Grondin, as well as the Honourable Sandy Lee, Minister of Health and Social Services of the Greater Northwest Territories (GNWT) Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), and Dr. Kami Kandola, Chief Public Health Officer for the GNWT, for a meeting with the GNWT flu team.
10:45 a.m. (Mountain Time): Following their meeting with the GNWT flu team, an update will be provided of the H1N1 flu virus.
