Media Advisory: CANEX Opening a New Retail Outlet for Canadian Forces Personnel

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 18, 2010) - A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held to mark the official opening of a new CANEX store in Ottawa. The Chief Military Personnel, Major-General Walter Semianiw, will preside over the ceremony.

Place: 4210 Labelle St., Ottawa

The 11,000-square-foot retail outlet located near St. Laurent Shopping Centre will sell brand-name clothing, furniture, appliances and electronics. It will be the only CANEX of its kind in the National Capital Region.

The proceeds from CANEX (Canadian Forces Exchange System) stores and concessions are used to finance a wide variety of social and recreational programs for the benefit of military personnel and their families.
