MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - May 20, 2010) - On Thursday, May 27th, the GotGinch 2010 Cross-Canada Underwear Drive arrives in Montreal. It's the 9th stop in the delivery of 30,000 pairs of underwear to homeless shelters in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax. The Underwear King is back, this time with Robb Price, who has developed a social giving network - DeliverGood.org - an online tool that matches charities and non-profits in need of goods, volunteer time and funding with the individuals and companies that can provide them.
Brent 'the Underwear' King first got the idea when he asked a homeless shelter, "What do you need?" The answer was simple: men's underwear, also known as tighty-whiteys, also known as ginch. So last year, with the help of friends, sponsors and a RV, he personally delivered 25,000 pairs of underwear to 10 shelters across Canada in 11 days, raising awareness about the issue of homelessness.
Come out and cheer on Brent the Underwear King and Robb Price as their RV rolls into Montreal with 3,000 pairs of underwear for Welcome Hall Mission:
